Brilliant Primary School is a Christian-founded school that started with a mission to help children in rural communities of Uganda, East Africa.

Founded in 2015, located in Kyenjojo District, Western Uganda, the school started to solve the problem of school dropouts, primarily girls who are resorting to early marriages and child labor.

Located near the tea factory, many people come from distant places to work in the tea factory, which has led to the fast spreading of HIV/AIDS. As a result, many orphans have been left behind.

The school provides a haven for these orphans and an education. Despite the difficult circumstances that they have faced, the children at The Brilliant Primary School are thriving. It is a small but growing school with a student population of 417 students, 240 girls, and 15 teachers.

Linet, 5 years old, never laid eyes on her mother or her dad. Her mother died shortly after giving birth.

We are happy to partner with Brilliant Primary School and bring them our classes this year and the children's happiness and well-being.

Brilliant Primary School is the pioneer beneficiary of the International Day of Calm. The children of Uganda deserve support during these challenging times.

We are working on raising money for projection equipment, tablets, and other items so that students can watch our classes on screen. Additionally, we sent 2 shipments of toothbrushes, soap, toothpaste, women's hygiene pads, and underwear.

The children at this school are so incredibly bright and hard-working that they can succeed despite their circumstances. They have made incredible progress academically and socially, and their teacher says one of their greatest strengths is that they can see how much potential it is for them to learn.

The school celebrated the International Day of Calm with great success. The organization will continue to support these children by providing them with resources and opportunities to grow and learn.

If you wish your school to be one of the International Day of Calm beneficiaries, please email us at info@dayofcalm.org

We also accept applications from schools wishing to participate in the Day of Calm initiative. Participation is free of charge and supports students and faculty during a day of peace, reflection and healing.
